Ft. Lauderdale Coin Club hosts dinner cruise at ANA convention
A dinner cruise in Ft. Lauderdale- “Venice of the Atlantic”- is scheduled for the American Numismatic Association’s (ANA) National Money Show 2000, March 3-5.
Aboard the legendary Jungle Queen riverboat, particpants will sail up the quiet New River, past “Millionaire’s Row,” the jungle and Everglades. The boat will dock at the Jungle Queen’s “Exotic Island,” where guests will feast on a delicious, all-you-can-eat dinner of barbecue ribs, chicken and shrimp with all the trimmings before enjoying the popular variety show. During the return cruise to Bahai Mar Docks on the riverboat, guests can join in a sing-a-long.
“The Ft. Lauderdale Coin Club, host of the ANA show at the Broward County Convention Center, wants to welcome everyone to the convention and demonstrate their famous Floridian hospitality,” says Convention Services Manager Brenda Bishop. “The club has chartered the boat for this one-night event, and is paying for half the costs, including bus transportation to and from the dock.”
The dinner cruise is set for 7-11 p.m. on Saturday, March. 4; busses depart from the convention center at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person; reservations can be made by contacting the Fort Lauderdale Coin Club, P.O. Box 22102, Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. 33335-2102.
