Hotel Rooms Now Available for Baltimore World’s Fair of Money
Hotel rooms priced at special convention rates are now available for the American Numismatic Association’s 2008 World’s Fair of Money®, July 30-August 3 in Baltimore. The event is expected to be one of the best-attended shows in ANA history, and everyone is encouraged to reserve hotel space now before rooms sell out.
Four Baltimore hotels currently offer convention rates: The Renaissance Harborplace Hotel (the ANA’s host hotel), The Hyatt Regency Baltimore, The Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards and The Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel. A fifth convention hotel, the Intercontinental Harbor Court, is already sold out. All convention hotels are located in Baltimore’s exciting and historic Inner Harbor district, and are within three blocks of the Baltimore Convention Center, where the show takes place.
To reserve hotel space for the 2008 World’s Fair of Money, use the Online Housing option or Hotel Reservation Form on www.money.org (select “World’s Fair of Money” from the “Numismatic Events” drop down menu), or call 719-482-9857 to request a Hotel Reservation Form. The 2008 World’s Fair of Money will feature more than 1,100 dealers, a Mint Promenade with mints from around the world, including the U.S. Mint and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, a broad array of educational programs, family activities and more than 100 exhibits developed by some of the world’s most accomplished numismatists. The show is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
Edward Craig is the event’s general chairman and Millard Hajek is the honorary chairman. The Maryland State Numismatic Association, Montgomery County Coin Club and Catonsville Coin Club are the event’s host clubs, and Heritage Auction Galleries is the official auction company.
