Paul Johnson, Jim Majoros and Michael Stanley Named Assistant National Coordinators of Club Representative Program

Paul Johnson, Jim Majoros and Mike “Steamer” Stanley have been appointed assistant national coordinators for the American Numismatic Association’s Club Representative Program. The announcement was made by National Coordinator Michael S. “Stan” Turrini on Aug. 2 at the Baltimore World’s Fair of Money®.

The Club Representative Program works directly with local, regional and national clubs to strengthen numismatics through the services offered by the ANA. The three assistant national coordinators will be instrumental in serving the needs of district and club representatives in the eastern United States, western United States, and Canada.

“Paul, Jim and Mike have proven themselves as members of the ANA, the Club Rep Program, and the numismatic community,” Turrini said. “By using their enthusiasm and knowledge, I know our program will have greater success in energizing new collectors, attracting new ANA members, and assisting local clubs across our nation and in Canada.”

Paul Johnson (assistant national coordinator, Canada) is executive secretary of the Royal Canadian Numismatic Association. A 36-year member of the ANA, he was ANA Young Numismatist of the Year in 1972. Johnson served as CNA education director from 1991-2006. He received the ANA Presidential Award in 1995 and Glenn Smedley Memorial Award in 2007.

Jim Majoros (assistant national coordinator, eastern United States) has promoted numismatics in his home state of New Jersey for many years. He has served as vice president of the Garden State Numismatic Association and president of the Ocean County Coin Club. An ANA member since 1990, he was named the ANA’s 2007 Adult Advisor of the Year. Majoros received the ANA Presidential Award in 2002, Glenn Smedley Memorial Award in 2005 and Medal of Merit in 2008.

Mike “Steamer” Stanley (assistant national coordinator, western United States) has been involved in the Club Representative Program since 1996 and has served as a national volunteer since 2000. He belongs to 47 local, regional and national clubs. Stanley received ANA Presidential Awards in 1997 and 1999, the Glenn Smedley Memorial Award in 1998 and Medal of Merit in 1999.
