SUMMER SEMINAR PARTICIPANTS URGED TO STAY INDOORS BECAUSE OF WALDO FIRE

At this time, the ANA’s Annual Summer Seminar, Session Two will take place as scheduled.  Since the Summer Seminar is held on the campus of Colorado College we are following the College’s lead.  The Colorado College Emergency Planning Team (PreEMPT) is constantly monitoring the situation.

At this time, the Colorado College campus is miles from the fire and is not directly impacted.  The college is continuously checking air quality on the campus and will post information on its website.

We are recommending that all Summer Seminar participants remain indoors with windows closed as much as possible, especially those with heart disease and respiratory illnesses.  Any Session Two registrants who wish to cancel will receive a full refund.

UPDATE FOR JUNE 28:

The air quality has vastly improved over the last 24 hours.  However, since the air quality can change quickly with a shift of the wind, we recommend that all Summer Seminar participants remain indoors with windows closed should the smoke return to our area (especially those with heart disease and respiratory illnesses).
