Take a Virtual Tour of ANA’s Money Museum at www.money.org
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Visitors to the American Numismatic Association Web site at www.money.org can tour the Money Museum in Colorado Springs without leaving their homes.
A new virtual tour provides Web travelers with a look inside the nation’s largest museum dedicated exclusively to numismatics, providing scans and still photos of both permanent and rotating exhibits.
Travel around the world, continent by continent in the main gallery with Money of the World Today before visiting the mint’s fascinating “bloopers” in Oops! Mistakes on Money. Then stop by The Harry W. Bass Jr. Collection of U.S. gold coins, experimental pattern coins and paper money, before dropping in on Beyond Engraving; The Art of U.S. Mint Engravers and the museum’s minting gallery.
“You don’t have to live in Colorado Springs to enjoy the displays at our museum,” said Museum Director Tiffanie Bueschel. “They’re now highlighted for everyone to see on the World Wide Web.”
The ANA will create virtual tours for all new exhibits. The virtual museum is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week; dress is casual.
