“Teen MoneyMall” debuts at ANA National Money Show
The first “Teen MoneyMall” will be part of the American Numismatic Association’s (ANA) National Money Show 2000 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., March 3-5.

Sponsored by the Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG), the Teen MoneyMall is a one-day bourse consisting of twelve tables operated by junior ANA members, age 12-17. Says ANA Convention Manager Brenda Bishop, “We are very excited to offer young collectors an opportunity to operate their own bourse table at one of our shows. They will have all the responsibilities of a regular dealer, with only a few limitations.”

The Teen MoneyMall will be open during the regular show hours- 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.- on Sunday, March 5 at the Broward County Convention Center. All qualifying Teen MoneyMall dealers can have one teenaged assistant, and each will recieve a special I.D. All participants must attend a special orientation from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, after which they are allowed to set up their tables from 5 to 6 p.m. All MoneyMall dealers must be at their tables by 9 a.m. on Sunday.

Numismatic items valued at $100 or less can be bought, sold or traded in the Teen MoneyMall; all ANA bourse rules apply. Check and credit card sales must be processed at the MoneyMall office, which will be manned by ANA staff. PNG-member advisors will be in the area at all times.

Participants must be sponsored by an adult ANA member, who will assist in the set up and the first hour of the booth’s operation. Applicants must also have signed parental consent and submit a $25 deposit, which will be refunded at the close of the  show.

Tables in the Teen MoneyMall will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
