The ANA Board will Meet in Charlotte 

(Colorado Springs, Colorado) The American Numismatic Association Board of Governors will hold business meetings Wednesday and Thursday, March 14 and 15, at the Charlotte Convention Center, room 203A, in Charlotte, N.C. prior to the National Money Show™. 

On the agenda during the open session Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m. are updates on the proposed bylaws including review of member feedback and strategic plan objectives. 

On Thursday beginning at 9 a.m., the board will review budget and finance, including approval of the 2007-08 budget and discussion of the endowment fund policy; membership initiatives; outreach, including education, museum and library; future convention sites; convention exhibits; and a proposal to establish a commemorative coin for the Scouts’ 100th anniversary in 2010. There also will be discussions on the Request for Proposal (RFP) distributed to solicit grading service proposals, and future museum and library projects. 

“Meetings are open and the public is welcome to attend and invited to comment on items under discussion,” said ANA Executive Director, Chris Cipoletti. “Additional materials will be available prior to the meetings that are pertinent to the agenda items, including motions and background information.” 

The Board plans an executive session Wednesday from 1:30 to 2 p.m. and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. to discuss awards, mediation, contracts and legal updates.
