This image was found in the book titled, Illustrated History of the United States Mint by George G. Evans. Inside are photos, fine engravings and 32 plates of rare coins. These coins once went for $10-$50. Now, they are valued between $50K-$300K! It looks like these relative rarities prove to be solid investments, 124 years later.
