SUNDMAN LECTURE SERIES APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED

The application deadline for the 2012 Maynard Sundman Littleton Coin Company Lecture Series at the World’s Fair of Money? in Philadelphia has been extended to April 6.


During this year’s Aug. 8 symposium, lectures will focus on the topic, “The Influence and Power of Images.” All fields of study are considered, with priority placed on papers that emphasize areas of new research and scholarship.


If you wish to be a speaker, please submit a summary of your lecture, not to exceed 500 words. Each summary should contain an introduction; a brief discussion of the subject; sources and research method; and brief discussion.  Electronic submissions are preferred but not required.

A panel will review submissions and choose talks based on originality, persuasiveness and relevance to the symposium topic.  Presenters will be notified by April 20.

Proceedings from the symposium will be published on the American Numismatic Association website (www.money.org). Presenters must provide an electronic copy and printout of their papers prior to the symposium. Selected presenters will receive a $250 honorarium.
